Chanel Lamb

Advisory Council Delegate

Chanel Lamb is a Human Resources Sr Director at ViacomCBS. She has 15 years of experience in the media & entertainment industry, including CBS, CNN, Showtime Networks, and Viacom. Chanel’s expertise covers recruiting, retention, organizational structure, employee development, and employee relations.  In 2012 she received her Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR).  While at Showtime Networks Chanel partnered with colleges and organizations across the industry to build an internship program focused on diversity and inclusion.

Currently, as an HR Partner to the Global Media Operations group (GMO) at the CBS Broadcast Center, amongst many other responsibilities she manages the Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) internship Program.  This program is in its second year and was implemented to foster a diverse and inclusive science and engineering learning environment, specifically with traditionally underrepresented groups in this industry.  She also works closely with the CBS Veterans Network group as an Advisor.  

  

As a U.S. Army veteran, she brings passion to the veteran community.  She served from 1996-2002 as a 75H in the 3rdArmored Calvary Regiment and the 501st  Military Intelligence Battalion.  While serving in the 3rd ACR on Fort Carson, Colorado she was inducted into the Order of the Spur after successfully completing a "Spur Ride”.  She won a number of Military Boards, which allowed her to promote from E-1 to E-5 in just two and a half years.  Her last duty station was in Dexheim, Germany as a Personnel Sergeant.

Chanel lives in North Carolina with her two daughters, ages 16 and 21.  She has a passion for diversity, family, women, veterans, ethnicity and equality.
