Sumner Redstone
Former Chairman and Viacom founder

We mourn the passing of our Founder and Chairman Sumner M. Redstone
In addition to being a maverick, a brilliant business leader, and a humanitarian, Mr. Redstone was a highly decorated World War II Veteran. Among his many accomplishments during his service from 1942 to 1945 as a Signal Corps and Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Army, he and his team were instrumental in breaking the Japanese Code leading to VJ Day. Let’s keep that in mind when we celebrate the 75th Anniversary
of VJ Day this week.
We will miss him greatly and will honor his memory by living as he did, fearlessly and with purpose and a life defined by courage, character, and service . . .
Thank you Mr. Redstone for a life well-lived.
