On September 15, 2017 Sandy Hernandez of CBS attended the 2017 West Coast Veteran Summit hosted by USC Marshall School of Business. The Veteran Summit was developed by Deloitte’s Veteran Excellence Team (VET) and Armed Forces Business Resource Group (AFBRG) to facilitate discussions among organizations relating to recruiting, employing, and retaining veterans in professional civilian careers.
Representatives attended from Deloitte, Amazon, JP Morgan Chase, National Association of Veteran Serving Organizations (NAVSO), LinkedIn, Activision, and USC Master of Business for Veterans.
The 2017 West Coast Veteran Summit focused on:
• Share leading practices in veteran recruiting, onboarding, and retention
• Further develop a support network to enable the continued exchange of ideas
• Facilitating connections between companies and veteran service organizations
• Identifying opportunities to enable the success of the broader veteran population
