Paramount VetNet Attends NYC Fleet Week Parade of Ships

The annual Fleet Week in New York City was held May 24th to May 30th. The U.S. Navy (USN), Marine Corps (USMC) and Coast Guard (USCG) were present in person during Fleet Week events.
Paramount VetNet’s Chief Veteran Officer, Richard M. Jones was aboard the active duty U.S. Navy ship, the USS Wasp, during the Parade of Ships on the West Side in NYC on May 24th. Paramount VetNet members, including VetNet Ambassadors, Toni Trucks and Judd Lormand, gathered at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum at Pier 86 to watch the Parade of Ships enter the New York Harbor.
What an incredible matchup to witness after seven long years—Syracuse and Army definitely delivered a memorable game. The 29–16 win was exciting, but the highlight was seeing Army veteran Dr. Nick Armstrong honored as the OVMA Hometown Hero during halftime. Moments like these truly elevate the spirit of the sport.
